The Board of the Polish Communication Society is pleased to announce the results of the PhD Dissertation Award in the field of social communication and media science defended in 2020. The winner of the Award is dr Kinga Adamczewska, who prepared the dissertation entitled "The role of the media in contemporary models of political information flow".
Dr Kinga Adamczewska received her PhD at the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań, the supervisor of her work was dr hab. Agnieszka Stępińska, prof. AMU, and the auxiliary supervisor, dr Jacek Wyszyński.
The reviewers and the Board of PTKS appreciated in the awarded work its innovative character, high level and sophistication of theoretical and methodological considerations, as well as the importance of the research results for the practice of social life.
The Award is the 13th edition of the PTKS PhD Dissertation Award, the aim of which is to promote young researchers and their innovative, high-quality scientific works, as well as to present the achievements of scientific centers contributing to the development of the discipline of social communication and media studies. Each of the works submitted for the Award was assessed by two reviewers in terms of the scientific importance of the research problem, its importance for the practice of social life, originality of the approach to the topic, methodological and construction correctness, the language of the argument, its logic and argumentation, as well as the completeness of the source base.
